On Saturday, August 2nd, at 12pm CST, I will be offering a lecture on using rubrics.
This lecture explores how to accurately and objectively assess production tasks with rubrics. We will discuss the pros and cons of this assessment tool for both students and teachers. We will also look at how to go about creating a rubric, and I will provide you with multiple examples as well as a very useful website to get started. At the end of the lecture, we will watch a speech (given by an actual student of mine) and practice using a rubric to assess the student. There will be time for questions and discussion after the video.
Please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org to be invited to this lecture. At the same time that invitations are sent out, you will receive an email containing materials you will need during the lecture.
