by Tyler Bradbury - Thursday, November 6, 2014, 8:33 PM

Please email Tyler Bradbury at hsu.tyler@gmail.com to be invited to this lecture. Invitations will be sent out 24 hours before the scheduled lecture.

At the same time, you will receive an email containing materials you will need during the lecture.

This lecture explores how to accurately and objectively assess production tasks with rubrics.  We will discuss the pros and cons of this assessment tool for both students and teachers.  We will also look at how to go about creating a rubric, and I will provide you with multiple examples as well as a very useful website to get started.  At the end of the lecture, we will watch a speech (given by an actual student of mine) and practice using a rubric to assess the student.  There will be time for questions and discussion after the video.

This lecture runs a little long.  So plan for a very generous hour.
